WHY WORRY OVER WHAT THE FUTURE HOLD, AND YET WE KNOW WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE?

Dear Friends,
I am hoping you are doing well, I feel much more compelled to write since I have not been able to meet you in our regular meetings due to my weekend babysitting. For those who are away from the Metro Washington D.C area I am always pleased to get in touch with by this means of writing Since God knows when I will be able to see you face to face. Our baby girl is doing great smiling a lot and sleeping very well, she has changed our lives so much already Dinnah wondering whether to quit work completely or not! Currently I am the weekend baby sitter and Dinnah babysits for the entire week. I can’t tell you how much more I have come to appreciate my dear wife’s hard work and God given strengths these days that I have been with the children, trying to cook meals change diapers and so on. I am pleading with her to let me take a second job so she can stay at home; I think my boys would prefer that too.

TUGANE I KIGALI!

I have just been reading about great things done by our president H.E Paul Kagame and about his joy of accomplishment s as he celebrated his 50th birthday. Though this man is largely known of his tough decisions and a man of a strong man who has fought so many war and surely knows how to win his battles, Kagame’s generous and compassionate side has been revealed in many ways.
His most recent acts of generosity was a donation of Frw 15 million (US $27,000) to Rwengoro primary school in Kamwenge district where he attended primary school as a young lad in the refugee camp. He also recently contributed money towards construction of a science laboratory to Ntare High School where he attended high school with his Ugandan counterpart Yoweli Kaguta Museveni.
Many of us who have experienced life in exile especially the kind of life in those refugee camps, it is not easy for a young refugee to imagine rising to such highs. If you asked me of my future in those days that I spent in the refugee camps I could have simply ignored you, how could I think about the future when I wasn’t even certain about the present? I had no food to eat, no school fees, no cloths nothing!!!!!
Though strong men like Kagame inspire us to look past our present and less promising situations and aspire for a brighter future, The word of God gives us even more reasons to have hope and face our future with courage and strengths. In Matthew 6:25 it says “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
The last part of verse 32 tells us that our heavenly father knows very well what we need, He has our future well planned and he knows everything that the future holds. Verse 33 is a familiar one to us, with a condition to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added unto us.
As we look for every opportunity to advance in our different endeavors, struggling to achieve those life dreams, let’s never forget that seeking God and pleasing him should be the target of our efforts, Remembering the words of Jesus where he asks in Matthew 16:26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?.

Why Am I Here any way?

If some one could have asked me a question of this kind before I came to the understanding of the mercies and the plans of God "What is the purpose of your creation" I guess I could have answered them To be a good obedient son to my earthly father, graze his cows and see them multiply in other words to MAKE MY EARTHLY FATHER HAPPY. May be you could have said to go through school successfully and get all those degrees in secular institutions of learning, and able to develop this world of ours! There could have been many answers to this question.
Like all of you our understanding and focus changed when we come to know the saving graces of Jesus, We come to know that we were created for a single reason which is TO PROCLAIM THE PRAISES OUR LORD GOD! Isaiah 43:21. Yea, that's it the only reason me and you are alive is to be vessels and proclaim the praises of our God.
Do not say who Am I to proclaim the goodness of God, Do not look down on yourself and let the enemy use your past to keep you chained, Do not say but I am not a Saint! I am a Sinner! I am weak, how can I proclaim the Praises of God! That is what the devil uses to keep us bound in our former sins, and thoughts, do not let Satan keep you in his prison our guilty, Yes I have decided to refuse it too, Actually let's look at a few verses in the same chapter
Isaiah 43: 18-19 (KJV) Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
God has done a new thing in our lives let's not be ignorant and fail to realize it! You are not the old you, Don't confuse me with the Jean de Dieu that you saw yesterday and I will not confuse you with the YOU that I knew then, We are all made new each morning the more we seek to please God the more we change to be like him. Yes the earthly/unbelievers may confuse you with the world, that is what happened when they crucified our Lord Jesus! Can you imagine nailing the Lord of Lords on the cross and let free Barabbas (the criminal)? They did not recognize the Prince of Peace, and they can hardly recognize you the New Creature. But I urgue you to know who you are in Christ and what you are here to do.I pray for all of you that God will help us wake up and serve the purpose of our creation, I am sure the Lord who started the good work in you will definitely bring it to completion.

Whose report will I believe?

We are to be glad and rejoice today for what the lord has done in our lives. The bible clearly tells us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1.
Our enemy Satan as you is known for his daily accusations against us trying to convince us that we are sinners he accuses us to our own conscience and to make us fell condemned and not forgivable for the many sins that we have committed. He also does accuse us to our friends and fellow men that will occasionally turn against us and judge us as sinners who are terrible people and not forgivable.
Here is the good news, Jesus has carried all our sin, guilt and shame on the cross he paid it all and we are sin free, guilt free and shame free. You are acceptable lovely and a person of Great importance that God gave his son in exchange for your redemption.
Let us be glad and rejoice in the lord to day for what the lord has done.
YOU HOLD THE KEY.
You are the only one who holds the key to this truth, You can either let the devil play with your mind and convince you to believe in a lie or you can hold dear to the truth of the word of God and receive the free gift of God which is eternal salvation. This truth that I mentioned does not apply to you if you are not IN CHRIST JESUS and if you have not given him a place in your heart.
Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion. Hebrews 3:8

Rwandan Christians in Washington D.C metro experiance a great move of God!

The time was indeed precious as Jean Saflo and Annika Amran missionaries from Oslo Rwanda came to Washington D.C and shared with the community of believers there the wonderful word of the Lord.
Though Prophet Jean Saflo had been presumed the main speaker, reasons beyond his control could not let him arrive untill the last day of the conference.
Annika Amran a pastor form Oslo who serves with Jean Saflo had the opportunity to share 2 very powerful messages with the people for both Friday and Saturday.

Annika Amran, who sings songs of Praise amazingly in our native languages surprised us first with her songs of praise and worship, she led us in songs like UKWIRIYE GUSHIMWA, SIMBA YA YUDA, IYO MANA DUSENGA IRAKOMEYE ETC.

ANNIKA challenged the metro D.C Rwandan christian community not to be changed by the american culture and feel afraid to worship and praise God as it is done in Rwanda, Annika who has ministered to the lord in Rwanda has an amazing gift of singing and she has a great command of both Kinyarwanda and Swahili at least enough to challenge most of us who are trying to remember those beautiful songs that we used to sing back home.
Besides songs Annika preached two powerful messages on Saturday and Sunday Being a good solder of Christ and Being a bride of Christ consecutively.
On Sunday Prophet Jean Saflo arrived and gave a very powerful message stressing the reason many of the immigrants came from Rwanda, Burundi and other places was not due to the wars going on there instead God has a plan to send them as missionaries in North America and the entire world, Jean Saflo challenged the people not to be deceived and forget the reason of their being here.
